has anyone tried to use an alloy swingarm from a yz on their dt instead of the stock steel one?? i would like to fit one to mine if possible

me to iv got the up sidedown yz forks and yolks tryed to fit them but the spindles too big for top baring any ideas

Look very hard and you might find an alloy swing arm from the JDM DT200R, I was bidding on one on Yahoo Japan but with postage it went to over £100 :(

Depends on simplicity of job + engineering ability.

Normal rule of thumb here is if you have to ask you cant do it.

edit.. forgot about the KTM sting.. same engine so should bolt right on with minor work.. prob just a few spacers.. alu swinger! try find one though!

I was after one of those bikes a while back but could never find one for sale in the UK - look really nice for a 125 and have some nice quality parts on them.

yeh dont think they imported em into the uk unfortunatly.. could always try foreign ebay sites for parts though....

same on dtr through to dtre up to about 05 I think as thats when they changed the rear caliper so the caliper guard fitted to the caliper instead of swingarm and the caliper mount is different so the tab that it slides onto sticks out more.. other than that identical..
