Braided Brake Hoses

I need to replace both the brake hoses on my 98 DTR.

Instead of buying standard replacements from Yamaha, I was going to get Goodridge braided hoses as I don't think they cost much more. Has anyone done this, is it worth it?

Goodridge also do a 'Build-a-line' kit where you buy the hoses and fittings separately. Does anyone know the lengths of the front and rear brake lines on the DTR (I've only made a rough measurement)? Are these kits any good?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Braided hoses are the muts nuts! Gives the brakes alot more feel.

As for the kits i've only every used kits on my mountain bikes. Dead easy to fit and the fittings are good quality. You just have to make sure you dont crimp the lines when cutting. Light uses of an angle grinder is ok but proper pipe cutters are best .
