Big one front pipe

Hi people, ive just bought a 94 dtr 125,ive got a dep silencer on her and im thinking of getting a big one front pipe,my question is will i have to increase the size of my main jet if i put this exhaust on or will it be ok to just bolt it on and leave everything else as it is.Sorry if this sounds dumb but im not good on the mechanical side of bikes i just know how to ride em.

im no expert, but i read about the big one/dep pies etc, and i think you put them on, test ride it,and then check the spark plug and any deposits on it and what color , then re jet if needed

Thanks for the reply, after doing a bit of sniffin around on the internet ive read that the big one exhausts slow down your excelleration up untill around 7/8000 revs so im thinking i might be better off with just getting the dep front pipe to go with my silencer as take off speed is more important to me than top speed.

ive read a de resitricted stabndard front pipe is no different to a dep front pipe ? im gonna get a dep silencer, and stick with my standard front pipe ,trouble with dep ones by the looks of it, is they dent really easily, and dont stand the test of time either ! and for £170 odd too, is it really worth doing ?

I guess its not really worth for it as the performance of the standard pipe derestricted is the same as a dep but they look allot better and make the bike sound better. I guess you could buy and fit one of those pipe bash guards that some moto Xers use.

Thanks polsta, think i will de ristrict my standered pipe instead, for some reson i never even thought of that and seeing as mine is a 94 dtr it should be quite easy as i think im right in saying that i dont have to cut the pipe in half to do it,would opening my power valve give me more overall speed eg excelleration and top speed or will it cut down my take off speed and just add top speed.
