hi peeps, bought a 02 dt last year as a non runner, tonight i fitted a c90 cdi, coil and rewired it, took 2 hrs and started!!! first time it's run for years!!! the carb leaks out of a little brass pipe that comes out the bottom at 45 deg!! i'll have a look tomorrow as 11 pm is a bit late to start a bike in the garden with no exhaust!!! feel quite proud of myself as i've never touched a bike before!!
now the bike only seems to fire every 3 0r 4 revolutions, think the carb might have been messed about with, can someone tell me roughly how to set the carb up (wind mixture screw right in, then how many turns out etc) once it'll rev and fire on each cycle, i should be able to sort it. any help appreciated, cheers, glen
bump...... changed the plug.....only rev using the choke? cleaned the float chamber so now it doesn't flood, sometimes it fires out of the exhaust???? any ideas?
