hi all
just like to check i ve got all the restrictions sorted on my bike i ve got an 06 plate dtx i ve done the 4 wire connecter block trick i ve drilled some holes in the air box i ve got a derestricted standard front pipe i ve got a full dep system coming in the next couple of days so ill see if thats any different do you think it will need a different jet i ve looked at the 170 kit but havent quiet got the money yet and i havent heard much about them either just wondered if any one had any more ideas or id missed anything

i wouldnt rejet it if i was you... it will just overfuel... there is no need to rejet... have you removed the snorkel under the seat??

no i ve drilled about 10 3-4mm holes in the side of the air box and cut half the length off the snorkel cos it was quite close to the box wall but covered over 4 holes as it was bogging down a bit at low revs so 6 holes seems about best for mine    smile

yea shouldnt drill holes in air box as it bogs the engine and will be worse than standard!!!!
or have you rode it like it and it works?????? ++ water can get in air filter== BIG PROBLEMS

yeh wouldnt drill the box.. just take snorkel off but it dont make much difference. just sounds deeper..
