Scruffiest DT?

Gets a call today from a mate of a mate to see if i can fix his rear brake. He complains that its not working right and that it makes a grinding noise. So i have a look and theres only one brake pad there. The other one has worn through right to the piston so the piston has been rubbing on the disc.Oh dear!

The bike was mine.I sold it 5 years ago and it was a really tidy '90 model. The guy who bought it just don't look after it.Make up your own mind.Is this the scruffiest DT around

Its too far gone really mate.It needs a total rebuild and the engine is getting tired too.I don't know how the hell he got an MOT on it! Its a pity really as when it was mine it was one of the cleanest early dt's around.Still, i got what i wanted for it so thats all that matters i suppose. This bike has served him well though. It gets only minor maintenance,is only fixed when its broken and hardly ever cleaned. In the 5 years he has had it and one top end rebuild he reckons he has done around 35k miles on it

Unfortunately I own the scruffiest DT I've seen in a long time - mind you ebay and the powdercoaters will be making a mint out of me this year as I make a tidy trick one using the field bike dog for some parts....

Could come in handy though, the sort of bike you could practise wheelies and tricks on and not worry if it flips etc blehblehbleh
