You need the forks as well if you want the DT-X front brake or at least a caliper spacer for the stock 1-pot brake (not ideal).

I dont know because I dont have one but people tell me you also need the X rear caliper = I'm unsure...

DTX wheels will go on DTR forks , but you lose the big brake unless you make a bracket

You can fit the DTX forks but you'll need a DTX speedo and drive if you want to see how fast you're going .

The DTR speedo can work as a spacer if you dont .

The DTR rear caliper will work with the DTX rear wheel

The stock DT brake is rubbish compared to the twin pot Brembo from the X.

He meant by using the speedo drive you could still bolt the wheel in ok if you are using a different speedo unit like the Veypor etc.

Yeah tbh Ben's right , I wouldnt fit the DTR brake on the DTX wheels , not just because it doesnt work as good .. but because It doesnt look quite right either with the small disc ...imo

Nope they are completely different and less places will carry them as stock items, I just got a set from Granby's and they were approx £15 for Ferrodo ones.

If you want the original Brembo pads they will cost more.

PS I now also have the X rear caliper - this also looks a lot better than the R version and is made by Nissin - looks very similar to the ones on the YZ's.

MS that was my exact problem, saw an X caliper pop up on ebay for £40 BIN and clicked on it straight away. Only the bracket needs cleaning up then painting and its all good - I did still strip it all down though for some routine maintenence and found that even the pads were still like new.

I think the old style calipers are pretty rubbish in comparision.

Small end bearings normally come with the con-rod kit if you've rebuilt your engine along with the rest of your bike mate.

I've just overhauled the engine in mine and now need to get some parts painted so I've got a bike's worth of bits to rebuild with - right now I seem to only have 75% lol

Small end bearings will not cost £40 mate, the needle rollers in the swingarm will only cost around £10 each from a bearing shop.
