Wiring loom ID needed
Permalink

Hi all,

I have a new wiring loom for my DT-R but need to figure out which CDI and generator I need as the 'old' style parts I have I think probably wont work / have the effing connectors lopped off confuse

The code on my loom is; 3RM-82590-30

The new loom takes the 5 wire YPVS servo motor (4 wires in 1 block + 1 wire with a bullet connector) and has a connector for the white relay some DT's have plugged into the loom near the airbox / rear light connector.

I think my loom is from the late 90's but am not sure.

Ever noticed how my thread began 93 DT project then changed to 88 ?

Anyways when I started at parts we were looking at a 93 model which is usually part number 3RM ( My 88 is 3BM ) . Anyways I was lucky as the bits were superceeded . But the code and price I have for the 93 matches the code you wrote

Sorry for the delay in replying, but since I asked I've been to my local Yamaha dealer and they tell me its for a 1995-2000 Austrian model DT-R which explains the extra block connectors near to the CDI / genny connectors.

I have a nastt feeling that this is the DT model which has a restrictor box bolted to the oil tank - anyone know?

A new 'old' loom is £128 from Yamaha.....
