Thanks mate, but being honest in my opinion others might say different. the bike is quite loud, more louder then with a standard pipe on of course, but when your talking 0-6 k rpm the bike isnt really loud at all, its only over 6k rpm when the power band comes in, it makes a bloody rackett, hope this helps mate!!!!!!

x2, as soon as that powervalve opens it sounds like a swarm of really angry bees has just been let loose all around you.

x3!! Heads turn as soon as you rev it high :D But, if you stick to a high gear it's as quiet as a 4 stroke ;) That powervalve is a bugger, it makes it very very hard to stick to the speed limit :P

They all have powervalves fitted which is not the same as powerband.

The powerband is just the point where the engine (any engine) comes 'onto cam' or into it's peak power range.

In the case of the dtr this is at the point where the powervalve comes into action where it produces it's peak power ; it's powerband...

biggrin

Most of the local chavs you meet on your travels seem to think a powerband is a kind of elastic band fitted somewhere on the engine

Although the pink ones are arguably the faster ones

They sound like old 125/250 crossers when you pin the PV open, mine has a Tecno front pipe and a shortened DEP rear pipe and combined with the PV pinned the bike is ****ing loud for a 125! I havnt got any vids of the bike fully derestricted cause the little bastard of a DT is off the road.

now my bike is fixed :D ..... i agree with rudi, sounds like angry bees chasing you, excuse to go faster, if cops stop you say i was getting chased by bees! .. it goes so loud with the powervalve open, turns everyones heads lol funny as to watch, tbh its really quiet with 'normal driving' you cant tell the difference, just dont go higher than 6k revvs lol
