After finally getting my off road wheels to fit the dt230 i took it out for some laning through harwood forest today  :D
Absolutely chucking it down so the forest was a bit of a challenge in places but it was great fun.
Avon distanzias are absolutely useless in the rain and i might aswell have had my supermoto wheels on for what good they were in the mud  :down:

Turns out my 100% waterproof gloves are far from waterproof,same goes for my waterproof pants and even my rigger boots had puddles in 'em  :(
My £28 ebay special spada jacket does exactly what it says on the tin,didn't let a drop through. :up:

Superb Snaps .. a pleasure to look at them trails !!!

Ooo about 'Three Miles' from the signpost you showed !! biggrin

Crap Tyres [you knew that !] But bike looks ace ...

There's one on Fleabay now for a grand, but it looks a bit tired for my taste [tired, for a Grey Parts Job ! Have you looke into parts for it yet ?? I sold my RMX 250 as i started to get windy about lack of spares for it !] ...
They were about & new in 230 Lanza Form around 02 / 03 i think, wish i had bought one then !!

Gonna Conceed Defeat on White Front Fender aww It does indeed look good, but don't match the black number board !!!!

Would a pair of white number boards off a DT - RE [mine] fit the lanza ???

Will look into Australian supply of 230 & parts next week, as i have family in Perth.

Ps .. Do you want to sell me them there Avons ?  Im not going S/Moto way with the DT - RE .. but gonna run a set of MT21's on existing rims & i have bought another set of RE wheels for road use which are looking a bit barren !!!  blankstareblankstareblankstareevileyeevileyeevileye

Was out friday myself, and hit some trails etc ... but we were out to give one of the boys his first day out on his new [first ever !] bike,
so i went for the easy option of taking the wifes scooter !!!
[I know, i know,   F*ck Off.... !   It's the Yammy in the middle ..]
Seemed the easy option so i didn't lose him throught the dales [or get bored to $hit chugging the DT along at 55 mph !!! Man could foul a plug at them speeds !! biggrin]

Are you sure? link? been looking every other day and i never see any for sale!!!{EDIT:::} Just spotted it on ebay.Probably be a good bike but looks nothing like mine :)

General parts are not a problem as most bit's are the same as the 125. 230 specific parts are easy enough to get from the local yamaha dealer aswell.

Tuning parts are not so easy but are available it just means ordering from yahoo auctions japan which is full of every part you can think of.

I still have all the original lanza plastics/tank for mine aswell which ill be fitting on for the winter.

As far as i'm aware the RE/dtx are all the same plastics so yeah most parts do swap straight over.All the plastics on my bike are from a 2007 model dt125x.

Yorkshire isn't too far from me,we should organise a laning trip sometime  :)

Looks a bargain at a grand ... !  But No ... chalk & cheese ... !  Did you get both sets of wheels with yours ??  I would have a punt at it, but would prefer a 2k+ one with 1 or two owners [both mature, garage owning types, with a polishing / oiling down after a wet ride fetish !!! wink

I was working in Newton Aycliffe the other week, & that's well south of you ...
But i've been looking at a MWB Tranny this last fortnight, only arguing over price with main Stealer at the mo' .. If [when !] i get one .. then the Norths me' Oyster !!! aww

Nope not mine! but i did advertise it a little while ago and quickly changed my mind.
I really love the bike but it's getting to the point where i know i should sell it because it will end up wrecked in no time using it off road.
Dunno what to do really.
