Indicator dash light (LED)

Got me indicators working fine, if I put a normal bulb in I get hazzards (as expected) if I put a mini LED in I get a flash when indicating one way but nothing the other way from the dash light - the actual indicators work fine though.

Problem is I know whats mucking me about but for some strange reason I cant figure out how to sort it and am being a dumbass instead!

Any ideas?????

Have you tried a normal led instead of a mini or an led with a different resistance? It could be that it needs a resistor putting inline maybe. ( i got an A in electronics in high school but i'm fooked if i can remember much of it lol)

try putting two in, LEDs are polarised it will only work on way lol, light emitting diode, one way only, try two smile.gif

to test it, turn the led the other way around, it will activate the opposite side lol

Try turning it round first if it works then if it does solder it in somewhere maybe, or maybe it could need it wiring up so that there is one wired up seperatley for each side if that makes sense?

actually .. thinking of what i said .. doesnt make any sense.

led's are polarised so will only work if current is flowing the right way, the slot is quite big

that bulb space yeah?
have you an LED that fits that? or just an LED with 2 legs like ...

if its just an led like second one, just try stuff to in there haha smile.gif im kinda hopeing on my theory the charge is flowing the other way .. if its only working one way .. or am i just being silly haha

to check if it is the polarity, turn it the other way around

I think that I need to wire one bulb or LED per side and have a flashing light for each direction not just one to say that the indicators are working.

I did think about having no light and a buzzer instead but decided that this would be far too irratating as they are loud enough for pedestrians to hear them.
