i need a new gear lever, i bought motocross boots and obviously they are bigger than trainers, ive tried rotating it to more of an angle now its really awkward to change up.

i need one that straight or curved the other way .. dunno what motocross ones look like but surely they cant race like this lol
also i dont want a metal ended one, dont wanna damage my boots unless all of them are like it!
thanks for any suggestions

It should fit the DT Most mx gear levers are pritty similer. When i got my boots i just clicked the gear lever up 2 times so my boot fits under it when i bend my foot but it doesnt bother me

I also use my Rigger boots when i go to college cause i do joinery and they have a huge toe section and i still Fit my toes under. Plus it shouldnt matter about feet size, You should be using your toes to change gears.

mate those boots are pretty thick but they will save your ass if you come off for sure, i reckon you could move the gear selector to a position where it might select although will be difficult, try getn a spare gear selector, snap your rivet off the end where the bit is you changed with foot, snap another gear selctor and then drill 2 holes 1 each side, stick a couple of bolts, (with the flattest heads you can find to stop rubbing), this will extend the arm smile.gif

they wont save my ass in this case just my ankles n feet smile.gif
hmm could do, the only problem with extending the selector is that the travel of the selector is increased .. and you will have to move your foot even more :/

tbh when I got boots it took ages to get used to it.. after a while it will feel normal.. Or get a YZ lever they come out a bit further..

you are trying to change gear using the top of ur foot and not your toes right?

Did you find one in the end? I got exactly same problem, big pair of MX Boots the DT125 lever looks like a rats tail by end of a long ride offroad, its bent and mangled and you can only bend it back so many times...

My mates Quad Raptor 250 looks same type but a lot thicker, I have emailed a few places and will post should I find an alternative.

Mx Boots totally suck for changing gear!

My YZF was the same one in the link, still didn't make it easy to change gear mind.. Guess you're gonna have to put up with it or ride without boots..
