yes deps are still made mate, they come up on ebay regularly, theres a few online shops do em, best google and see whats about smile.gif i would personally have a gutted standard front pipe with a big one on the rear but thats my personal opinion, i like the performance and the sound it produces, front pipe less likely to crush badly if you dropped bike, shinny looks nice but a pain in the arse to keep maintained, black standard is easy to maintain and is solid which can also be resprayed easily too smile.gif

Whats a gutted standard one then, where do i find one of those, i agree about the maintenance...just a re-spray now and again.

So is the DEP the best option aftermarket one?

Yeah seen that, a bloody great dent in it, looks rough...The bike in question is mint so will have to be new or good condition, not gonna be sticking anything manky on it confuse

Now that doesnt look bad, what does it mean about removing the restrictor then?

The only problem i have now is that i havent taken ownership yet and the snows up here are very bad, so cant buy that until i own the bike, and can't pick the bike up until the snow is gone...dammit!!! no

der-res front pipe is the best to be honest.. deps just look/sound more bling...

can get dents blown out of deps but its a pain in the ass.. a standard front pipe wont dent unless you ding it into a massive rock..

yeh I meant de-res but spelt it wrong..was at the library and had to be quick lol..

Ive heard that the dtr pipe is good for upto 250cc and they do use it on the dt230.. a derestricted pipe is near exactly the same as a dep... bonus of less attention (remember de-restricted bike mean void insurance and old bill aint stupid) and if you want the dep sound stick a dep on the tail pipe. wont have that dep ding sound but when being thrashed will sound better than stock tail pipe... and it wont rust!!

lol kinda funny me saying de-res pipe over a dep as both my bikes have deps but If my stock pipe was gutted Id stick it on my 04 dtre run-a-bout.. Just I want to get it welded up good then ideally dipped in zinc/chrome or something..

just thought id add, on a gutted standard pipe it will allow the powerband to hit earlier at lower revs than a dep smile.gif
