Hey my bike was stolen and now that it has been recovered by the police i am looking to get it right, i was quoted by my yamaha dealer £555 for a new petrol tank, was wondering if anyone else has bought a new tank if so where can i get a decentish condition second hand one? many thanks
yea i have, there isn't any on there i really need it back on the road as soon as possible but with money on the other side of my mind lol just need it to get to college as i live in the middle of nowhere so there is no public transport
yea i have seen some on there hopefully one will come up soon the police found it in someones garden they've ripped the rear fairings of tank is dinted loads and messed up so the petrol cap wont go in and yea i couldn't believe when he said 555, its just crazy lol
Hi i think my insurance are going to pay for it :D so we'll see i'll keep an eye out on ebay and the police are just as useless here lol i had to find things out for myself by asking around see who knows what. fortunately it was someone local so the police knew someone that matched the description someone gave me of him thanks for all the help guys :D
I would avoid claiming on insurance as it will go up. They can writeoff a bike on cosmetics like mine was (dented tank also aswell as bent handlebars, cracked fender etc). If they do then you'll get a payout on the value of the bike and the chance to buy the bike back cheap :)

The insurance paid out :P my bike was written of but i bought it back cheap :D going to fix it up :P. When you put your bike back on the road did it have to pass a test with vova before you got it reregistered?
