have police ever said anything about the rear L plate ? does anyone know if it is legal to have it like in pics above ? thanks

 i got pulled for having mine like it, he just said that its difficult to see that im a learner and he would recomend i put it in better view, then i explained the reason it wasnt attached to the bottom of my plate was because they tend to snap off, then he had a look around my bike checked my tax, recommended i get some proper gloves, then he got back in his car and left(he seemed like a decent bloke tbh, it was more like he was checking it more for my safety than anything else), oh btw my one is full size, the one in his pics looks a little cut down which is illegal.
