Jack-up kit
Permalink

I have searched the site and found a few threads of people asking with no definative answer apart from people on here selling them.

Does anyone know where I can get a jack-up kit or make me Rse-end higher?
What should I google? haha
Is anyone selling anything?

Cheers Dave.

Like seiki said most people make there own, Most engineering companies should be able to make up some shorter links if you take ur old ones in for a template

HP meaning high profile?
I have a higher profile rear I think as all my plastics got delivered they other day, the rear is the only thing i haven't fitted yet as I have a rounded bolt so am riding round with all white plastics except the rear :D haven't got time/day light hours to be drilling and making light fitments at the moment for the rear so am putting up with a silly looking motor thought that if i could buy a riser kit I could fit it faster than messing with parts and I don't fancy taking the bike apart right now taking parts to engineers as am a bit hectic with uni exams like most people.
What parts do i need to get made up is it dog bones or something silly like that? or is that just a form of doing it?

Verry easy, about 10 mins if your bolts arnt siezed :) if they are (like mine were) it could take a while! its worth the money though coz it looks badass and makes the bike handle like a dream.

and wheelie like one to? i hate when i hate the powerband and the back end whacks downno

and in corners it bounces .. i am a heavy lump...

how do you change them?
literally take weight off the back wheel, undo the bolts, change the dog bones and then do them back up?

yep you got it m8! just a little tip: the best way to undo tight siezed bolts its toslightly tighten them first and then loosen. Obviusly drench them in WD40 first but it works every time for me!

I dont have an MX stand, i lift my bike up and put it on some plastic boxes..

works well though :)

it seems very expensive for 2 bits of metal.. probably gonna make my own.

il get one from tech at school if all else fails.... bet i got one hanging around.. dont mind a couple of attempts, not spending £20 on 2 bits of metal. Yah can fug that lol.

Do they have to be strong? Bit of stainless steel will be good for that wont it?
