Managed too clean up my Old knobbly's a bit. nothing too amazing but they arnt looking as bad as they used too... just gotta wait to do the forks next.

Heres a piccy of the knobbly's. still got a bit of the hub to do but they do look better :)
Photo0853.jpg

Onto the stubbied DEP.

So here is what it looked like after coming off the bike.
Photo0857.jpg

Nothing amazing obviously. it was pretty dirty so gave it a quick clean.
After that, drilled the rivets out, took the little end cap bit off and took all the wadding and inner pipe out.

Then i got too work with the hacksaw
Photo0868.jpg

I cut it too my desired length, as straight as i could and got too work with the file. :) had to cut the inner tube bit down aswell which was trial and error but seemed ok. and also just cut the wadding with scissors.

exhaust 002.jpg

Theres a piccy of the end result. Now all ive got too do it polish it up with the autosol and get it on the bike...

Ill get piccys of it on the bike soon. :) Still waiting on the Full rebuild at the minute though.

NOTE: If anybody wants to get thier DEP end can stubbied. Just get bradders to do it.
For the time and effort it took to do it, Its not worth it. also, Its not even polished yet. since taking the pictures, i have polished but its taking a very long time.

Well, letting the garage do it all as they wont charge. But if they dont sort it. A day with the haynes manual will porbably have to do. Engine might have too come out again though. :O

I do like numbers on bikes as it looks more motocross looking, I done my forks the long way round................take wheel off then forks, put socks on thennnnnnnnnnnnnnn put the wheel back on the forks and set it to TORGUE SETTINGS then put forks back in, yes I know your probably wondering why the hell have I done it this way round and not forks on frame then front wheel on...........its cos if you put the front wheel back on the forks which are on the bike, you can tighten the wheel so hard, it will end up snapping the little tab on the hub............How do I know this, yep I have done it :-S if the little tab snaps you wont have a speedo, yes its a pain in the ass to sort out, whats suppose to be a simple jobs turns nasty, hope this makes sense mate smile.gif
