I have mine set up like that on my DRZ, I got the Motrax ones though (cost me £31!!!) but those look exactly the same. Yes you can easily knock out the middle part, it's just glued in place, nothing a bit of hammering can't sort out.

Sounds good, Will be ordering them when I get paid. I'll post pictures when I get them installed.
Yea, riding without mirrors is just unsafe on public roads, I did it for a few months and felt paranoid.
The visibility should be much better since DTR mirros are awful lol its better for me as im a stocky **** so my shoulders take up most of the mirror space. Only downside is it take some getting used to as you have to look down instead of just to the side.
Personally a nice set of mirrors set the bike of well, I see your point why not having them of course it looks much better, but hell the hell do you lot check your bind spots etc etc and I am not talking about the blind spots from the sides when cars or other bikes creep up behind you, and the only way you can see them is turn your head around 180 degrees, am always getting cars doing it, hence why I keep them on as always wanna know whats going on behind me.
You wont last long with that mentality, keep turning around and you're asking for trouble. Mirrors are to look behind, shoulder checks are for the blind spots of your mirrors.
Can tell whos passed their tests on these forums lol.

Obv I don't look behind all the time...other wise yes, you will rear end someone. I think it's massively down to the roads you ride aswell...city, country ect. Besides, things never are as they appear in your mirrors, start thinking what you see in them is totally representative of what's actually going on and you'll soon find yourself inspecting the Tarmac with your face...
Haha :) like it, I've got a handle mirror in need to fit...helps to see if the rozzers are on my tail lol. Talking of which...was riding home t'other day and was getting air off speed bumps, all of a sudden, blues and twos behind me...pull over preparing my self for an absolute roasting lol bit they just hooned past me...result :)
Lol. The guy on my CBT told me to go around speed bumps and only go over them if thier is no other possible way to get around.... had obviously never been on a DT. :D
