ok so im kind of lost in the law regarding number plates

the road legal size is 9x7 isnt it?

but what about people with smaller plates? like 6" ones
do you have any trouble with the police and whats the fine/points to go with this?

Thanks Jake

Been riding with a 7/8 and not been stopped yet . It's not the plates it's the size of the numbers and letters that have to be a certain size

I had a 6x4 inch plate, got pulled and bike was siezed.. I think police don't seem to care if you've got a full licence with modded plates... they seem to dislike us "L" plate users.. I was told the only plate I was legally allowed was the standard 9x7, he showd me a piece of paper n such with the size on it too, anything under 9x7 was classed as an illegal modification.

Does sound a tad extreme for a plate

I got a 6x4 or 7x5 on mine is pretty small but the trick is of course when I got mine of a bloke from ebay I wanted the numbers and letters bigger, and of course for MOT's I just swap it over for my normal size one with the reflectors on it
