the dt200r runs on alloy rims you can get them on ebay just thout it would be an upgrade over standard as thay probly lighter than steel.

It would definately be a woorthwhile upgrade to reduce weight generally, and unsprung weight most importantly.

I don't know if they're a direct replacement for DT125 wheels though, but would be interested to know this myself.

I have a DT200 swing arm (also alloy) to put on my bike, which I understand to be a direct fit, which would lead me to conclude (possibly wrongly) that DT200 wheels should fit a 125..... hopefully :)

yup dt200 +dt200wr both have nice rims

iv got two ali rims off other bikes with 36 spokes and gonna have them laced to my hubs once powder coated

just get some rims off an old bike and fit them to your hubs

21x36 spoke front

18x36 spoke rear

just make sure they come off a bike with disc brake coz drum has different spokes

i got front and rear for £30 (ebay)

I'm almost certain i have a alloy rim in my shed for a DTR, well it came off one and looks the same as one lol

DTR rims tend to rust away and when clean can look shiny where as this one tends to never even show a hint of rust and always looks merky rather then shiny

If anyone is remotely interested i'll get some pictures up..

here we go chaps just the rims on there own then you can have em powder coated http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-DT200WR-1992-Aluminium-Wheel-Rim-2-pcs-/190575508221?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c5f2f7a

Thinking about this one myself hehe. Wonder how much it will cost to have em powder coated.
