as above m8 it should say on the tyre wall somewhere "not for road use" or "not for highway use" you get the idea , if it dont say anything then it MIGHT be road leagal im not 100%
Aren't the road legal tyres 'E' marked? If it is specifically not for road use, it usually says so, somewhere on the tyre wall, if it doesn't.... You can risk it but that's your choice. Find out what tyre make and model it is and google it, if its a reputable make of tyre, you'll likely find someone already selling a similar tyre, and it usually says whether its for road use or not in the sale description.

Yeah i was told by my mechanic that all road legal tyres are 'E' marked, so i put my 'road legal' tyres on for 1 hour out of the year lol
Hope for the best mate? Generally, if they dont say 'not for road use' you should be ok... only the traffic cops are anal enough too check and even then 9 times out of 10 they wont.
Not that im saying do something illegal, just saying i wouldnt worry about it too much.
