mabey a good way to make pannles shiney again

i was thinking do i really want to spend over £100 on new pannles for them to get scrached arfter a week or 2 then arfter looking at the stickers bradders made i started thinking what if i could vinyl wrap my blue plastics completly in black gloss vinyl they will be shiny.

On a plus if i drop my bike or it gets keyed or just scratched  i can just re wrap it at a cost of basicaly nothing lol then i started thinking of warping my tank in it to but i think if i spill petrol on it it will mely away lol but i think it is a good idear it will make your old scratched pannles look new again and u can basicaly get it in any coulor u want

im going to order a roll of 2 meters by 61cm tomorrow its something like £8 off the bay and testing it on my pannles and going to test it with some petrol no harm in trying lets see how this goes if anyone has done it to there car or bike befor is there any tips u might have XD

Im thinking of the same mate, but you wont be able to wrap it and get a good finish on the edges, there be creases n **** so im thinking of spraying around all the edges black and putting the vinyl only on the front if ya get me drift.

Just like them white stickers on you rear panel, but making it bigger so it covers all that blue on it and reach the edges??!!

I see wat u mean .. It'll really fookin hard to wrap it n make it look good, but steves idea is good . Spray n laquer the edges to get em solid , and cover the flatter areas with vinyl , not bad not bad I might do it to mine to stop them gettin even more battered! Lol

my dad use to be a vinayst for 15 and his own company.

You can do petrol tanks he did a mini moto of myn years ago, i think it does work, need to be proper preped ect.

But im sure the fumes after years wil discolour the vinyle, plus theres alol kind of grades of vinyle like sandpapper

well when u see on the cr 125's and yz125's there seats are more flat pics below

cr125.jpg

2009-yamaha-yz125_460x0w.jpg

then u get the dt with the ugly rear mudguard and seat more diped in the middle

DT_125.jpg

with the a hp rear fender and if you build the seat fome up then re cover it i might be able to get it less diped and more flat across witch will give it a more modern motorcross style and will mean u are siting higher so your knees wont be bent as much

this is what a mean XD  imagen this pic below with a hp rear fender and mabey a black coverd seat it will look sweet i rekkon

It's a bodyshop trick, I think it involves putting them in an oven at a low heat for a lond time. Not done it myself but i've seen someone do it and they came out brand new
