Came across this site whilst trying to find the manufacture year of my off road xt 125, as long as you have 17 digits on your vin, it will work for you, usefull if you have an off road unregistered bike, and need to know the year of it for parts. Didn't work for the xt 125 as it doesn't have 17 digits, but I found out that my xt600 was originally manufactured in 93 and not 96 as the v5 says, I knew it was an American import, but thought it was newer than 93.

i think most dt's are a 9 number vin m8y ,still good link for other yammys tho
