hi guys as from my last post i have found out wot was at fault 
its the generator but it cost a fortune to replace at £320 :( 
anyone any ideas if they can be fixed or wheres best to buy one ? 
or dose any1 no ov any1 that may have 1 forsale ?

It was no spark you had yea?? I'm sure your flywheel would be ok and im sure a new pick up (little coil thing for the spark with 2 wires coming from it) doesn't cost £320! I'm don't know how much they cost new but Im pretty certain u could get a 2nd hand one for a couple of quid, can u post a pick of it n so I can have a look

yeah no spark
i have managed to twist my m8s arm and he let me strip his bike down to try parts tryed everythink
last think i changed worked
the pick up is ok its the stator/generator thats broke
cant upload pics at the min but sort ov looks like this

Ite I see the stator could be fooked n there for not powering the cdi, = no spark
Tbh I'd check wats in your battery, if it's flat try ur m8s good one , try run ur bike with all ur parts fitted , if u can get it running check the charge rate with a multimeter befor u go chucking money at parts jus to confirm 100%

U sure it's the stator?? Not sayin ur stupid or anything but the spark pickup does come off the stator plate, I have taken it off ain't yer?? Lol

i have changed it today m8 and got a spark tryed puting old 1 back on and nothing so i defo think is that
phoned my local yamaha dealer (ian bells) and he asked if i was sitting down when he told me the price
wish i cud keep the m8s part but i cant see that happening lol :)

how much did he say mate and just call about some local bike breakers and check ebay one will pop up at some point

Tbh m8 I'd still check the above , is ur battery flat?? Did ur lights start playing up before?? I can't see it being the stator without more checks

Did u try the smaller pickup coil on it's own??

yeah tryed changeing pick up didnt work until i changed stator lights and everything seem ok and its a pretty new battery
i will keep an eye out on ebay and will keep trying the breaker
i have been told the the dt 125 from 2003 to 2006 are the same
but like i say i am unsure
