Fork length
Permalink

Hi, just registered.

I bought a box of bits that should be a 1986 dt125, maybe 87.

Im not sure the front end is right, its not fitted at the moment.

Front wheel is deffo wrong, 18", big disc brake, looks early/mid 80's.

Which makes me thing the forks might be too.

Not tried the caliper on it yet to see if the wheel/forks/brake are all off the same bike.

Can anyone tell me the length of DT125 forks so i can see if these are right?

You might find you'll be getting a plate of deaf and dumb sandwiches, from members of this forum in regards to answers mate, the rule of thumb, as is in nearly every other forum on this planet, is to go to the newbies section in the forum and give a brief introduction of yourself, preferbly with pics of your bike too. Just my ten penneth mind.

Its been suggested to SM it with old TZR bitsbiggrin

Or, it might get a USD YZ front (ive searched the boardswink)

We'll see.

Nothing will happen untill i get the V5, when it starts progressing ill post more pics.

Thanks again, ill go measure my forks.

That's a DLC, you wont get many if any parts that 89 onwards people use. There are a few people with DLC's on here but they dont visit much.

Doesnt mean people wont still try to help if they can. That's a LC forks as it's very long
