hello to all! new to the site so thought id introduce myself. im onto my 2nd dtr my 1st one was an old 1988 (1st ever year of the dt "r"s if im right) in white and pretty gud condish for age but unfortunetly had engine problems and im no mechanic so i sold it on
iv now saved up and got myself a blue 05 plate dt125re, iv had it for a month now and loved every minute of it i cant keep of it up until 2 days ago wen sum b******s stole it. im 1 of the lucky ones tho coz i managed to track it down and find it left hiddin without too much damage to it as they didnt manage to start it and left it to cum bak to by the luks of it. the bike now needs a new headlight and cowl coz its all been smashed off, new number plate, tax disc and a rad scoop but it shudnt be long before i can get this sorted and get bak out on it.

by the looks of it they stuck a bar under the seat and bent it up to try and find my ignition switch (my ignition barrel was broken and taken off wen it was almost stolen wen the previous owner had it) i cant belive they didnt find it.
iv managed to just bend the seat back to shape though so thats saved me money
welcome to the site mate.. My god your so lucky you found your bike.. Bloody annoys me that they do all the hard work in nicking them but can't manage the easy part of starting it. An then the mess they leave it in. it's a sad thing to hear and see.
