i decided to take the stickers off my tank plastics and found that it was covering some nastyness

you do know that tose graphics are like £60 each side , had the same problem on another bike people covering up damage sucks dont it

hey there dude smile

you can remove the white marks with a heat gun

do it slowly tho man

 

the rest of it your gonna have to reapply graphics or get a kit 

but atleast you can get rid of the stress marks for free biggrinbiggrin

just dont spray it you will regret it  ,even when done right its not the same and falls off after a few miles of riding

just trying to help man wink

yea im gunna try the heat gun trick but i really want it a different colour tho i was gunna get a professional sprayer to do it but it if dont work the will the plastics be ****ed ??

theres a dt near me sprayed yamaha blue on all fairings but with the original graphics, looks nice,

dont spray them with a can! petrol will melt paint it if 1 drop gets on it

 i had a spare pair of new rad scoops got them on here but the prices has gone up

yeah man u can spray the tanks and put petrol proof lacquer on them but the plastics get destroyed when rubbed down for spraying then the paint comes off in flakes

and you wish you never bothered

just get the plastics you want all fresh and fit them smile

well the guy whos gunna do it used to spray planes and cars but if it does go rong ill get a new set of them plastics and get him 2 spray the tank the same colour as the new plastics bcoz the tanks r slightly darker

your right about the shade of the tank

its the light shining through the plastic that does it lol

you can get yam coloured paint by the "ral" number but it wont mach

honestly dont paint the plastics you will end up replacing them anyway

but you wont be able to sell yours

ahh so y does the paint flake off then isit coz they bend ? also shes looks ok for 23,000 miles dont she lol needs a few bit to make her look better

Looking forward to it going pop soon then?? My bike has 23k on the clock and my bottom end was ready for a hole new engine.. Was told that 20K is about right for a full rebuild.. The bottom end pin had line marks and bearings where lose.. couldnt tell by looking with the topend off though. and if ur engine dont sound like ting ting tinnnng tinng at low revs as well high then best start savin.

or buy a full decal kit on ebay

i used the ebay original decal kit from potugul m8 its top quality but yer not cheap ,for a couple of stickers

Type in the search stickers and it will take u to people on here that make em. Any sticker any size even make ur own as in custom stickers. If I didn't have any id have some made up.

a few pics after a little clean. ive put a jack up kit on it but i dont thinkk its that high :( and its now got new shoes thanks to shaunyboy feels so much better now.
