Hi

Anyone know the model of battery for the 2007 SM model?

Mine wont hold the charge and I dont have acces to the manual.

hi mate, had few battery problems, i had a boshc. died 3 months later , then had another one cant remember the make also died, the got a gel sealed battery http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/Yamaha/DT_125_R/01-03/picture/Battery_Motobatt_Sealed_High_Torque/

would recomed it never charged it even after 3months of not riding my dt

Cheers mate, I cant seem to find out if its suitable for electric start models or not. I called them up but they insist that they stopped making the DT in 2005 but mines a 2007 confuse

just had a look in my Haynes manual, from 2004 they use a GT6B-3. previous models use GM3-3B/FB3L-B.

ye just to be safe get a 2004 onwards battery because of the starter motor
