Hello everyone,

i have just joined this forum which i hope is ok as i only have a dt 125lc.

I have just got it and its in a million bits, just how i like my projects.smile

Im after some information if anyone can help. I have been reading up and i have found out it is a ypvs, but to ristrict them they pinned the power valve. so all the bits are missing as they are not needed. Well they didnt restrict them in france, so i have been on ebay and got the bits. I think the kits from yamaha where about 400 notes in the eighty, but i cant find any kits now.

I also got some fiber read valves which should help.

I wasnt going to bother with the power valve but i like the sound of bottom end power as well as top. Im thinking of running my carb off my cr125, may work with some rejetting and fiddling.

This in where i need some help.

I need to find out if i can about the cdi unit. Is it also restricted and are their any different numbers and codes to tell them apart??hmm

Well thanks for your time in listening to an old fart go on like his your grandad!!biggrin

Thanks for your help and greeting.

That sounds good news about the cdi, one less thing to do.
More electronics, the more to go wrong i think. Bloody cars are the same.

Do you think i should take pictures of my project and put them on here as i go along?

Yeah definately, add them to the project section. It's always good to look back at your own work for reference or just to have something interesting to read

Yay, another LC :)

I also have an LC, a red 1986.

Its like yours, bought in bits but with loads of stuff missing.

Im trawling ebay all the time for parts, but the LC's arent common!

When you mount up your YPVS servo can you post pics of how its all mounted?
