exhaust is dripping out oil :(

I have a DEP system on my bike and recently after my rebuild its dripping alot of oil, not only from the end can but where the pipe meets the can too, i've tried tightening the clip but thats not working, and tbh its just making a right old mess!

I know my bike isn't running rich because the spark plug is near enough perfect! Only thing i can think of is the oil im using Q8 racing oil. Should i try using a different oil or could it be something else? But i'll have to wait to try different oil as i topped it up last week haha...

My dep doesn't leak out of the end can but it does where they joint is. They all do, you can by a rubber thing on ebay. I have just left myne and the oil has dried up and has stopped leaking know so is all good lol

2 stroke exhausts quite often leak a bit of oil. I usually assemble mine using a silicone sealant such as Hermetite Instant Gasket. its seems to be good enough to withstand the exhaust temp and stops the mess.

no to be honst i avnt , know i should tho , gonna check it in the morning now! starts up better since fittin the dep much quicker to fire up ..
av just checked autolube n was out of alignment , am i rite that it needs to line up when slack in throttle is took up as in just b4 it starts to rev up ??

if i am right then it was runnin too much oil as more it turns more oil right?

with the slack taken up before it was to the left of the alignment mark

Well if you've done the rebuild properly then you would have lubricated up the engine pretty well. Thus will have a rich mixture when you start running the bike. Be annoyed if it's still leaking after break in period.

seems to be runnin fine at the moment , av set it up as per book ,so it lines up as slack is taken up just as abt to rev up ..
spark plugs a dark biscuit colour but is old plug needs changin im guessin its 2 yrs old ! well think so

as you can see it was way out off alignment , not surprising seein as ive never adjusted it before in 6 yrs ..  confuse    memo to brain must check things regularly !!
