So, this is my new machine - bit of a project but not planning on doing too much to it, it won't be a long running project.  Mainly just want to get the special edition banana forks swapped for plain old straight ones and generally tidy it up.

I'll post some more pics when it's cleaned up and has straight forks and bars etc.

Pretty much, bent fork stanchions, bent handlebars and a bent bar riser/clamp. I already replaced one of the indicators that was smashed (just happen to be the same as DT125 which I had lying around since putting mini carbon ones on my DT). Yokes look straight but I won't know till I try put straight forks up through them. But yeah just needs a good tidy up, check and tighten all over and I'll give it an oil and filter change and see how she goes. Cost me £1450 and should owe me about £1800 done providing there's no surprises. It's got a few quids worth of extras on it already. The Akrapovic cans are about £450 new, the handguards and sump guard are about £100 each, and it's got heated grips and an Scottoiler thingy.

Oh, there is a small scrape on corner of the tank and the ignition barrel has been messed up a bit - it works but you have the wiggle the key a bit to get it to turn

Look great man, iirc the cans are near £750 new. You missed a set of forks on ebay by a couple weeks, I think they were going for £20 each !!

Keep us updated with your progress

It is a short bike, and all the weight is towards the front, bent forks do make the wheel base an inch or too shorter though. That's the idea behind the lateral shock, it puts the weight of the shock forward in the frame. It supposed to make handle better, the short wheel base and the front loaded weight distribution. All I know is it makes F**kin hard to bump start, a 660cc single with bugger all weight over the back wheel, you just gets black streaks on the tarmac, LOL.

Yeah, I am a big fan of the streetfighter look Bradders, if I keep it I'll definitely tidy up the rear end. Don't know if i'd hack it right down but I'd like to get a nice race stylee single seat unit on there and little plate and lights etc.
