erm yeah well if your vids get quite alot views and theyre your own vids...then youtube might ask you to become a partner...which they have for me. basicall it means you get paid for adverts, in two ways;
1. you get money per view 2. you get aditional money every time someone clicks an ad on your vid :)
So i was invited to become a partner about 5 days ago and in which time ive made 5 pounds lulz...but thats not bad seeing as i have only had like 700 views since i became a partner...
roughl speaking they say you earn about £8 per 1000 views...can be less, can be a lot more!
There are some people who make a full time living off it...making six figure salaries too. I've got a way to go yet lol. im just gonna keep making these compilations and see where it gets me...it spirals you see. you get a few views...then you get put higher up on the search list....that gets you more views...then you get subscribers...then more...then you get to a guy like 'twisternederland7' he has a few thousand subscribers so everytime he puts up a new vid...within hours he has 10,000 views plus. i think i counted all his vids the other day and added up all the views...i got to to about 150,000,000 views and stopped counting lol so £8 per 1000 views and he has 150,000,000...you do the maths! but then again he might not be a partner, cos all his videos stop at like 11 mins...but now as a partner i can post vids up to 30 or 60 mins! so i dunno
Only time will tell!

This vid popped up on my screen today (literally popped up in it's own little window somehow), i found it quite entertaining and he's clearly enjoying himself - look at the number of views and then see his other videos, millions of views each!

Well if Sarge's numbers are right, this video has earned in him in the region of £92000!!! For DJ'ing and dancing like a nutter in his bedroom! The sort of job I could do with..... wheteher you like the video or like/dislike the music - he's earned himself a **** load of money for 10 minutes of fun and he's posted loads more videos all with millions of views!
