Right dont know how this will go but i know ill be having 1.
Im currently in talks with a company who can supply DTX and RE rear mudguards without the light fitted, leaving the option of fitting rear LEDs light, tail tidys and getting rid of the standard nasty one.
These should be the same fitting and the same size as the standard ones just without the light.
Like i said im still in talks and at the moment and gaugeing interest for a couple of weeks and would like to hear from any members who might be interested.
The thing is.. How much is it going to cost? I'm sure before someone wants to be putting there name down they should know how much it's going to cost.. Not that I can say anything, I no longer have a DTR and I loved my RE's tail light
I havent got a price yet,i too dont want to pay the earth. Its still early days and im waiting for return emails, hoping to get some answers soon but might have a problem funding small minimum orders.
Are there any entrepeneurs interested in a joint venture??
Nobheads need not apply as there are a few dishonest members on here.
Can't you fit an older mudguard/fender with a £20 tail tidy off ebay? It's what i've got on mine and hasn't broken yet even when it was upside down (see below)

mine snaped stright in half when i fliped it and smashed the crap outa the light lense lol
I have no idea how I didn't do that to mine. Before I took the pic the front wheel was further up the tree and the mudguard/tailtidy/numberplate was pushed right into the ground. The indicators are bolted to the tail tidy and they didn't break either .. ????
Gotta say though if you're doing any offroad get a flexi numberplate.

Dude, look at the mud guard of my bike (pictures below). You can fit that model on a dtx/re. I've seen it.. and i can get you a picture.
I actually spoke to the company on Saturday and things will start moving in January.
I want to keep the lines of the RE/X but without the nasty rear light.
This is a definate project and up to today ive got colours sorted out which include a nice yellow, duck egg blue and green..These mudguards will be listed websites including on Ebay when they arrive and maybe a discount for honest members to this forum.

yes it's a nice thing to do.. but the mudguard that i have mounted costs 20 and that equals like 16£ of yours...
They are nice panels Nev.I know you can buy the carbon look on an adhesive roll im presuming it would have to go on with a heat gut to follow them contours though.Get some and give it a go DT panels are fairly flat,id be interested to see the finish.
As for RE/X panels the only problem is the hidden fixings they have on the back of them.Yamaha must spend 10's of thousands on engineering molds.

lol I struggled with getting the decals put on mine properly, never mind putting a wrap over the panels, I've noticed that out of all the body kits supplied for speedfights, the carbon look are the dearest to buy, it's easy to see why.
I'll bet the tank would look decent with that sort of carbon look too, nah I'd leave that sort of thing to the experts, it's just a case of finding where the experts are, that can do that sort of stuff.
Ive seen cars that are completely covered in the 3D adhesive stuff.
Im getting some for my DEP silencer, dont know what its like or what its like to put on yet.Ill either get carried away and do most of the bike or it will be going in the bin.
