So did some work on the MT-03 this week - got the new forks and bars on, removed pillion peags as they were rattling a bit, oiled and adjusted the chain, checked the oil and coolant etc....... and removed the DB Killers from the cans.
The thing sounds awesome, i'm sure it cant be legal! This little vid doesn't really do it justice as it only really gives you the full effect when under load, where it pops and crackles and backfires all over the place. I took it for 10 min ride and every single head turned to see what the hell was coming down the road making tat racket. Not too clever really as I'm not exactly legal on it and 2 mins in I drive past an old bill car that has to give way to me, I try to pootle past him making as little noise as possible - but it's not possible. And i took the mirrors off so I couldn't see if he was turning round to come after me without looking behind me and looking even more suspicious! They didn't come after me anyway.

I was trying to show how loud it is in that vid but it just doesn't come accross properly through the microphone on my blackberry. I'll try to get another video of a flypast or something or maybe try to attach my flip HD to it somehow and go for a little ride, because the sound is mental - Under acceleration it really roars and crackles and coming offthe throttle and under engine braking you get random explosions coming out the cans and scaring people. Somebody else commented on a youtube clip I saw saying that his MT-03 with Akrapovics sets off car alarms down narrow streets! Love that, LOL! Won't get that with a leccy bike....
