wheels for a dt re

helloi have some siezed spokes on my front dt re 2005 wheel and i have been told it would cost more to get the wheel repaired than it would for another wheel.

just wondering what supermoto wheels could go on dt re 05 model as i have just got a speedo drive so dont really want to be changing anything

mine is an 18' front wheel

Speedo drive is usually the same through the years. If it doesn't fit just source a new one man off ebay

what do u mean seized? are they lose or what? if it just a few id cut them out and put new ones in normally its about mabey £2 for a spoke then the work and as to completly relace a wheel is about £50 and your looking at over 80 for a wheel if you can get one at all

then im sorry to tell you you will more then likely need new forks and caliper the standard dt break disk are smaller then the disk on your wheel there for the wheel will bolt on but will not go into the caliper so ull need dtr/dtre forks and dtr/dtre front caliper aswell to go with it and if u would of said u was going to go with a normall 21 inch wheel i could of mate u a deal i think iv got 2 or 2 siting in my shed and got forks and caliper

i really hope this is not the case, im not sure which forks are on the bike to be honest ideally i would have liked to keep the wheels on the bike but with the guy who was breaking a dt saying it will fit straight on i just thought of the easy option.

no mate it wont fit well the wheel will bolt on but your caliper wont be on the disk at all so you wont have a front break

this is what the forks and caliper look like for a dtr so these are what will work with the 21 inch wheel as you can see it doesnt fit so yours is going to be in revers as this was puting a sm wheel on dtr forks so your caliper is going to stick way out and be a small disk

If somebody could come up with measurements, theres a big chance I can make a caliper bracket up, and pass on to you lads, as this is something I'm needing to do for mine, Energizer you found that template yet mate?

Any measurements need the holes lined up horizontally, and remember to leave spacing between the disc edge and the inside of the caliper

do you have floating disk mates if so you need to get non floating disks befor u make the bracket up as the caliper is the wrong shape for the big disk and catches the floating disk bit iv got a plastic template somewer ill have a look if its right u can have it
