I want to change the standard DT headlight for a Polisport or similar enduro style headlight. I've seen alot of you have done it so I'm hoping one of you will know the answer.

Can you keep the original clocks or do you have to cut any wires?

Any info would be great.

Cheers Clarkie.

you can keep the clocks but it doenst look that neat cos the old headlight bracket make the new headlight stick way out so for best effect you need to remove witch mates the clocks then to big but i had a difrent headlight on and left the bracket there and still looked ok from the front

Not too fussed about the brightness of the light or looks.
I'm trying to make it a bit lighter for off road and green lanes.

Changing the headlight isn't going to make much difference in weight lol

See below. Got standard clocks on mine and the headlight sits in front of them but does sit a bit low which makes the beam low (i don't generally ride at night and use the bike mostly for laning).
