dtr stealth project...

brought her month ago and planning to stealth her out...shes got a full dep and loads other little tweeks i was serprised with her power thru gears...in the motion of buying another one and redoing  her thru a doner ......want her mint...comments and advice wanted :)

Have a look through other peoples projects, gain info from what they've done to theirs, see what tools they've used, cleaning processes etc and also take plenty of close up pics, so you can use them for reference, when it comes to putting stuff back together again, as much can be forgotten in the weeks/months it takes to finally start rebuilding your bike again. Get yourself plenty of small/medium containers too, and label them, again to keep bolts and parts in order for when you need to put it back together again
Also source yourself a good parts supplier, you'd be surprised at how much some of the smaller but important parts cost, Fowlers of Bristol are a good place to start. Lastly keep a note of costs, save receipts, as when it comes to insuring and you've done the bike up to a high standard, you can then get an agreed value policy on your bike as to how much its cost you and not the book value as most insurance companies will do.
