Actually looking to get a group going over to be honest, get a hostel group booking near it and go rave my head off. Dutch hardcore is so ****ing buzzing lol, i went last year and the venue was ****ing rocking mate everyone was so god damn happy to be there!

got swooped by the riot police one night. Was officialy supposed to be shut for 3 months under the ASBO order but it never opened up again.

 

Can't stand that type of dance music. I like most types of music but hardcore just gives me a headache now. I first started listening to what was called hardcore then in like 1993, Rat Pack and Randall etc but it doesn't sound much like what you boys listen to these days. Check it out.....

I think that scene evolved into Jungle/Drum & Bass, but I went off that when the MC's got more involved and started ruining it - shouting over the music and calling for REWINDS.

The new hardcore is just too fast and too....well....HARD! How the fook do people dance to it? It must look like everyone is having some sort of mass epileptic fit. For having a dance, it's got to be house - house music all night long! Although I am right into some old school funk and hip-hop these days.

lovin the oldskool dnb kalamity! i first started out listining to that sort of thing, but then moved to hardcore, well its actually called "freeform" but near enough hardcore is more of the dirty dutch stuff still like it tho lol
i love freeform its got crazy parts to it but the drop is amazing wen ur on the naughty stuff proper uplifting lol ; )
ill see if i can get a vid of me avin it at the next rave lol my m8s say out of our group im the best dancer lol (wheres my trumpet at!) gotta have glo sticks tho otherwise it dont feel right lol im lovin hard house aswell thts really good at the raves theres normaly always a hard house room

at 2;12 is wer u start to rush ur nut off then even more at 3.04 and u proper go for it throwing them shapes with the glowies lol i would of loved to of been at this one looks really good, the atmosphere at a hard house/hard dance event is unique to any other rave its just really really good, went to see tidy boys at the opera house in bournmouth couple years back n it was AMAZING

Bradders, that rave you posted the link to had Lisa Pin-Up on the line up. One of my best memories of going out ravin involves her, it was about 10 years ago at a bank holiday weekend do on a Sunday night into Monday morning. Me and my pal Foxy were the last men standing on the dance floor and still going strong, it was about 10.30am and Lisa Pin-Up was smashing out the last few tunes of the last set.... she cued up her last couple of tracks and came down onto the dance floor and had it large with me and my mate for the big finish - it was quality and she was fit as ****! I'll never forget it, legendary night!

I missed that boat too really mate, gutted. The proper huge old skool illegal raves happened in like 1988 - 1992 when I was 8 to 12 years old so I was tucked up in bed in my Super Ted PJ's. My brother is 10 years older than me and he was making the most of it back in the day - proper jealous! I started going out to Bagleys and Fabric and other clubs in London as soon as I was able to get in. Still not the same as a mass illegal rave in the middle of nowher with 25,000 other loons
There's a good film called Weekender that came out just recently about the early UK Rave scene, it's worth a watch!
