Is there a wire that you can cut on a 2002 and 2000 model dtr on the cdi unit to de restrict it? mine tops out at 10,000RPM at 80/85mph. and to about 9,000rpm in 3rd,4th 5th gear, 6th gear is 10,000rpm. I've looked for a 1996 cdi unit, but cannot find it anywhere on the internet!

Yeah my dtr tops out at 10 000 rpm, so imjust guessing it's the cdi thats stopping it going any further, i just wanted to know if there a wire to cut, or a different cdi unit that would fit it.
