Theres nothing illegal about it, it does set the plate at more of an angle but nothing too dramatic

Aye if the copper was a bit of a jobsworth, and you did get pulled for it, it'll be more than likely it's because you're not sat on the bike, raising the angle more, but once you sit on the seat it lowers the angle a fair bit. My mate got pulled for it on his Busa last year, just sat his 20st weight on the seat, copper just waved him off.
