it was an 89 with so much wrong with it.. although i didnt know as im no good with mechanics, i broke down for like 5th time in just over a month and id had enough- i thought it needed a top end rebuild which i explained to the chap- turned out there was a whole in the engine the size of a 2p water had got in and ****ed the top end bottom end and the gear box.. a few days later i saw him on dt pages on facebook asking people to buy a new engine then afew days after that i saw he was breaking it for spares on ebay to 'try' and get his moneyback.. i felt so bad-but he said you win some you loose some.. not my fault i guess- i didint have a clue..and i payed 600 ontop.. the bike looks alot better in the picture than what it was- it was a mess..

Does look tidy mate, from what im guessing at the moment your looking at 1.2/1.3k wait a few months and that might push up to 1.4/1.5, try sticknig it up on ebay and see what happens?

Well if you wanna become a certified mechanic im sure the Cavigo is the way to go! i'd hold on to the cbr till it heats up a bit and you will get some nice ££ easily id say

Nah mate but i used to commute daily with the dt with super short sprocket ratios so i was in the powerband in every gear if i like it or not haha, just fitting new piston cylinder this weekend to get back on the road, you should be fine mate, aslong as there is no knocking noises etc when the bikes warmed up when you view and it pulls well in each gear nps m8. worst case scenario you need a new engine which you can grab for 200 squid on ebay or if the topend goes its under 100 quid so get your dt back son!

+ LMAO NATH! hahahaha damn right baby! now come give me a backy on your gixxer im waiting in my full leathers! wink

if you put a bigger sproket on the front or smaller on the back it wont be as quick from the line still faster then the cbr and will cope at 70 fine it wont have that much grunt to pull out of truble thou iv been on dule carrege ways alot and did a 40 mile trip most of witch was on dule carrege way doing 75 non stop on it and it was fine it was infact my mates derbi 4 stroke that broke down not the trusty dt XD
