so i sanded down the spokes and got an abrasive wheel on the hubs, then mega cleaned the wheel, masked it up and sprayed.

also got a flap wheel on the rim and got them 95% perfect,

so it still looks 100 times better and for about £10

Looks amazing, but what did you do exactly ? sanded down the brown marks ( rust ) and repainted the rims ?.

i used a flapwheel on the rims, and used this on the hubs (in the pic) and sanded the spokes lightly and degreased the whole wheel carefully ,

wrapped clingfilm around the tire and rim and used masking tape on the rest,

i used grey enamel paint 3 good coats

But im still wondering what color you painted the rims with ? whats the name on the color ? Gray enamel ?, when i googled that i found a gray matte color, and i cant immagine that gray matte color coming out as that chrome color ...

And did you paint the whole rim or did you just paint the spots that where rusty ?

i did not paint the rim, only the spokes and hubs are painted.

the rims have been cleaned with a flap wheel, scotch bright and Tpcut metal polish

the paint on the spokes and hubs is "plastikote" grey enamel

well. It certainly looks much better, But my rims are the worst part, My spokes look pretty decent i think. I dont get what part is the hubs ?.but im guessing its the part the spokes are sitting on ?.

But what you did on the rims was you sanded the "rusty" parts down and polished it ?

That doesent sound as much work.

So i told my dad about this, And he told me that before i start using sand paper on the chrome i should try something he had lying around, something called "auto sol " or Auto sun in english, And i did. Here are some pics !

Before :

IMAG0170.jpg

IMAG0178.jpg

And after :

IMAG0187.jpg

IMAG0185.jpg

IMAG0186.jpg

It worked really well. Didnt take long, and it came it pretty good. My camera isnt the best its a mobile camera. So i dont know if u can see. But it didnt get perfect. The worst parts where it wasnt only rust but also a bit of a cut in the rim didnt go all away. But i dont think its noticable when your not looking for it :P
