Just go through eBay...or don't but stuff with people you can't do deals face to face. Just cos you're on this site, doesn't mean everyone is kosher! Treat it as you would any other site!!

1990dtr.... I have something to say about that c.u.n.t.! i paid £40 quid for a carb he said he would send me in the post... waited for 2 months & never arrived.. thankfully paypal refunded me! hope the c.u.n.t gets in **** for it!

He's been on nearly every day if not twice a day... He was last on here 2 days ago.. He's ignoring pm's, texts, phonecalls and emails... He is about as he's been buying stuff on eBay..

I've now informed my bank and also the police who will now be dealing with it..

It's not just myself and slinky that's been ignored, he's also ignoring seiki

The site itself, me and the mods have no power but to ban users if they rip people off. That's all we can do. Everyone takes it as their own responsibility to buy and sell.

I set guidelines in the for sale section that most people did not follow, certain steps to try and insure you get as much info as possible inc feedback.

The actual feedback section did not stop anyone being scammed and never will. All it did was show you who made successful sales in the past. People who scammed didn't matter because they got/get banned immediately.

Example:

Mr Noob joins and makes a for sale thread, someone buys off him and gets ripped off. Buyer lets me know and I ban Mr Noob. Putting their name in the negative feedback section wouldn't make a difference because they already stole your money, and would no longer be allowed to post/sell on here after being banned. So no chance of it happening again to anyone else.

I know it's frustrating and annoying but there isn't anything that could prevent it except people sticking to guidelines.

Now I have 3 choices to try and help people ..

1. Close down the forsale/wanted sections and let eBay deal with the drama.

2. Set strict guidelines (again)

3. Leave it as it is and keep saying I take no responsibility.

Option 2 sounds like the best but without cooperation it's pointless, again.

I can put back the feedback with a click of a button but realise it wouldn't have prevented this and won't stop it happening again.

i understand where your coming from with the feedback section seiki, but if people can go on the section and see that the person has made successful sales in the past theres more chance he is not going to scam you. if you see where i am coming from?

jUST A LITTLE UPDATE....

I have now managed to trace his mobile number to his home address using my good old friend GOOGLE!!!

i will now be contacting his local constabulary and will keep you all updated..

after speaking to a few people, its classed as OBTAINING MONEY BY DECEPTION!!

Feedback system is great it just stopped getting used. It's back now and wouldn't mind if people used it to share their experiences.

I can get peoples IP it shows right under your name. From that I can get loads more details about anyone but only ever need to in situations like this.

The reason I asked as I was curious as If it was just the account and not the IP. As they would just simply be able to make a new account. Even though as you know there is ways to get round the I.P part aswell.

That guy is a complete waste of time! he gets your money through paypal & spends it... paypal pays you the refund then he deletes his paypal accont probaly!
Paypal refunded me the £40 he owed me.. When i rang up to see where the carb was this girl picked up the phone.. & i could hear him in the background telling her to say "he's not here at the moment sorry, i don't know anything about the carb" i could hear them both giggling.
Unfortunatly people like him make a bad name for anyone who sales on this site as it makes it harder to sale! So i say with a magic spell bippidy boppidy boo! we should remove the little ****!
