So what with soon getting a DEP exhaust. Will the insurance company say i'm voided etc due to it removing the restrictions?

Just wondering what the companies are like really as i'm planning on changing it pretty damn soon now and then doing my full license. Just worried i suppose lol. But then i've seen DEP sporting L plate DTs here anyway.

Yeah basically if you crash and claim and they want to examine the bike they could void the insurance due to you not stating you have an after market exhaust on it. To be fair do you really give a fook? IF you do crash and they want to see it you could stick your old one back on. I would say it's highly unlikely that they would come to examine the bike but I'm no expert. Also if you get pulled by the police then they may ask is the exhaust on your policy. You could A)Lie or B) Tell the truth. I've been stopped plenty and it's not really a thing they've asked me.

I wouldn't say the restrictions would be the problem cause the older bikes have virtually no restrictions. I'd say its that its a modifaction not noted on the insurance policy

Hmm, could always bull**** and say the original started blowing or something, ideally though i'd want it all fully noted on the insurance so that i get a decent payout if something does happen to the bike lol.

Once i change the colour though i have to tell them don't i? it's registered white/blue so if i change it black/red might look a bit suspicious on the police computers (not gonna lie, did 60 past a copper in a 40 zone just before it went national limit (onto a dual carraigeway) and i saw him looking, haven't a clue if he saw my plate or not. Just ****ing glad he couldn't turn around. lol

my mates modifyed bikes and claimed after a crash without telling them its modded, or if you crash take the bike home and chage it to standard

i would say "i dont know anything about bikes, thats the exhaust it had when i bought the bike"

Mm agree with them, end of the day if the bikes totalled anyway just saw it snapped off? I'm sure some insurers allow mods for free Im pretty sure i read it somewhere!
