That's just wrong, feet won't touch the floor, you'd have to tilt the bike right over when starting up and stopping at lights will be dodgy as fuk.

I have these stinger in price though im 5ft 8 & having them set at 50mm was just stupid.
I nearly dropped the bike twice & that was when I was getting on the feckin bike
as you know its sinks abit when your already on it. Well if your a fat fecker like me it does anyway.
The second time I nearly dropped it in front of a bit of sponge aswell felt a right nobjocky. So I rode away quickly after that happened lol
So after that I had to lower it down the size to 25mm.

I had some on my DT, only raised it an inch but when you sat on it you could definitely tell!
Before the bike burried me and I could easily put both feet flat on the floor, afterwards I could only put one foot down lol
Plus I could actually use the side stand, before on my RE if you put it on a slight hill it would roll away lol

I could really do with some making up for my road bike, so if you know anyone? I'll do all the dimensions work, just needs cutting/drilling/posting
Needs to be cheap-ish too,

Sound, would really appreciate it!
Bike is a Kawasaki GPZ 500s
Standard length is 185mm
And a dude selling them over in America are 170mm (I'd buy them off him but with postage and everything it works out to be £34 disbelief)
Supposed to raise the bike about 1.5 inches, so I think for every 5mm shorter it raises the bike half an inch

I'll try and get a picture drawn up the quickest I can and measure the size of the holes I need, Just got a problem or 2 with the bike atm cry

Think I might go crazy and raise the bike up 2 inches so would work out to be about 165mm long in length evileye

Attached photo in post,
Any more dimensions you think you would need?
The bit thats 30mm I think it would be easier to keep it 30mm along the whole thing, if it is just make it easier on yourself smile
Also how much we talking including postage?
Thanks again

Damn! Left the spare dog bone in the shed lol, I'll have to measure from my drawing..
Centre to centre on the standard is 165mm so minus 20mm brings it to
145mm between the centre of the holes and 165mm total length of the jacked up one!
And yeah mate most places like that just chuck off cuts out
Saying that though when I went to a local place and asked for some off cuts they said they'd have to ask the boss and he isn't in until tomorrow.. And as I left I saw them chuck it into a massive pile of offcuts disbelief
It's not as if he would even know lol

Haha well when I went in he must have thought I was going to use it for a weapon of some kind cause he seemed adamant that I had to 'wait and ask the boss tomorrow' lol

some places are hard work and only want to do trade/big sells so turn there nose up to people on the scrounge for a few quids worth of stuff, but with hos things are these days they should grap what they can,50-60 ppl popping in for a tennors worth of bits can soon mount up over a month thats the way i think any way

i couldnt get stainless last nite just got mild steel, so will give it a clean up and paint before sending them out, what colours ur bike ??

all the ones iv made in the past were out of the same stuff so iv no reservations about the strenth, as most iv made were on my crossers and got hammerd round mx traks big jumps and that sort of thing, i just wanted stainless for the look lol

so just to be 100% sure u want 145mm hole centres with 12mm holes?

Yeah I see what your saying about it soon adding up, plus if they get a big enough pile of off cuts they could weight it in themselves for a quick buck

The bikes black with some green on it, I'm not too fussed about the colour so long as it's not pink lol. It soon gets filthy anyways

And tbh I'm not 100% how long I want them, the guy that makes them in America makes them 150mm centre to centre and people have been complaining about how far it leans onto the side stand and having to use a hockey puck to make it stand up like it used to, so making these even shorter might cause it to be even worse!!

So to be on the safe side I think I'll have them 150mm centre to centre,
When I raised my DTR by about a inch and a half, I went from burying it to hardly being able to touch the floor!! lol

So new measurements are as follows;
Total length: 170mm
Centre to centre: 150mm
Holes: 12mm diameter
Depth: However thick your steel is lol
And the width: 30mm

Thanks again buddy, now all I need to do is find out why my bikes suddenly lost 20-30mph at the top end and why it's burning coolant when I take the radiator cap off disbelief also need to check the valve clearances but thats another story wink

Really isn't cry
Valve clearances seem simple enough, just the locknut type so all I need are a selection of screwdrivers/spanners and feeler gauges
Just need to find out why it's burning coolant
Changed oil today and didn't seem out of the ordinary so I don't think it's the water pump seal, to me it seems like the head/gasket
Engine out of frame time

When I had them on my DTR they were already made on a field bike I bought
They were the perfect size, 1-2mm shorter and it would have hit the shocker lol
