will 2000 swing arm fit 89 frame

Never tried it myself Eddy, can only guess at that one, but keep this link safe, as it will tell you the answer in here, plus may help with future parts compatability,

put in your bike model year etc, find your part, link to it below the exploded view, then on the left of page are all other models, bikes it fits also.

Thanks for that site Nev that could be very useful it would appear from that that the arm is different , just how different cant tell but does mean that I need to check first as it shows there is a difference but not that one will not fit the other ,it may just mean that one was up dated but could still fit, so not conclusive just means care must be taken ,but very useful thanks Nev

if i remeber correctly, the older ones have greese nipples on the pivot to the frame

so the bushes might be different

yes mine does have grease nipples , and the bushes are listed as different ,so are you thinking that it could fit just the bushes that were altered ,what about the shocks are they the same do you think ??

Aye shocks are pretty much the same fit, the earlier shocks have the same number of coils on the spring but slightly bigger O/D I swapped over my old spring and put it on to the newer damper , when I took mine apart for spraying.

Just for future reference the arm that I got that was said to be from a 2000 bike does fit my 89 bike as does the shock thanks for the advice chaps
