Ok i know this has nothing to do with bikes.. but if you wanna laugh at my expense then go ahead... I lost my friday nights doing karaoke.. The manager of the pub thinks some wogg can make a better call then me at running music!!! I've been there a year and i know that it's never been busy but this guy is ment to have alot of followers so they think he'll bring people into the pub. Mean while me and my family are down on cash while his doing my friday night!!!... so phoned a mate that used to dj in the same pub. he said he knows the dj and by the time his finished it will be full of blacks taken an hour to drink a pint and then leave and there will be drugs drugs drugs outside in the smokin yard... I've now got to go and take all my stuff down out the way for this other DJ.. I don't claim to be the best but i sure as hell try.. The lady that runs the bar she dose 40+ hours a week. when she phoned to tell me the news she said she wouldnt have never give up our karaoke nights. I'm so upset right now i dunno if i should just say **** it and pack up or just find somewhere new.
Always some better oppertunity out there mate, it might sound stupid but if you're doing less than 16 hour's a week you can still sign on, i'm sure that will take a load off money wise? just a thought
The old taking our jobs bullshít. Taking our jobs or living a life of crime selling 'drugs', which is it? If you're gonna try and play on racial stereo types, then at least use some fuking logic.
Fact of the matter is that he has an edge on you in some way, whether it's a bigger following, more records or even more skill...well deal with it. Suck it up, get on a level above him and do better. Don't bring his race into it as it's totally irrelevant.
I know at the time its rough ,but ha ho its all part of life's rich tapestry , in my experience and to pull the age card when you look back (and my is it that far back yonder ) you find that as one door closes another one opens ,the worst bit is the in between ,now I have had some short ones and some not so short in between's , but in the main the,news were for the better , whats that saying ,every cloud has a silver lining , its just a mater of finding it , but look get rid of the anger it only makes you bitter and twisted ,just get on your toes and come out fighting life aint easy no one ever said it would be just look for the good that is lurking out there some where , if the pub trayed down your way is anything like it is up here he wont be there long pubs round here are closing one after the other ,so would think you are in a hard trade to make it with out going big with good brakes to get in to the big clubs as a DJ, so use it as a kick up the bum and go knocking on doors and if you are going to knock on doors make it doors with biger better chances to move up the lader , all the best to you , go boy go
Look at it from their point of view. If they could afford to have you there then they would. But to be honest pubs are really struggling as it is at the moment. Money is tight and lots of pubs are shutting down mate. They NEED to freshen the place up and get lots of customers otherwise they might be out of business. It won't be the end mate. I'm sure once business picks up then they'll have you back.
No idea how is ethnic background comes into it, If he's offering the same service for cheaper then that's how he's got the job
Just quit both your jobs if they're troubling you and join me on the dole I have 3x bikes, a PS3 and 360 I never play, a gaming PC, a 32inch Sony TV mounted on the wall and a couple of hundred in the bank I must be doing something right.. Or wrong..

This forum doesnt allow racist comments towards any race, you can say and think whatever you like anywhere else, you're entitled. But on here I think it's easier not to offend people like that, it makes it generally more civilized.
Being black doesnt mean i'm instantly offended or going to pull out ban hammers. But dont s***t where you eat, especially when it's not fcuking called for.

S.h.i.t. yeah I didn't really take any note of it Seiki! I don't think he mean't anything by it mate! But I stand with you on this one it's uncalled for to be racist! He's obviously just upset and wasn't really thinking about anyone else. I've been like that in the past. When I'm with people my age who's got kids (I'm 18) and i've said stuff that's actually really offensive about people my age having kids who have to rape state benefits to people who are my friends.
So I can sympathise with both parties here so long as he apologises and means something different to what he said!

Ive been doing Karaoke for 16 years i Bristol, ive lost more pubs over the years than you've drank in!!! just get out and get a new pub,yep the trade is ****e out there, we move on, do what i did offer a cut price for 4 weeks if you fill the place the price is gonna go up simples.
I've sorted out somemore cards and gonna be posting them around and do a little talking and see how that goes. I guess I got used to being there and got to know everyone and enjoyed doing my job too much.. but hey no matter where I am I know I'm good at what I do.. I get told it by loads of punters.. So In many ways the door might open for better things. But I'm Going for both night's Fridays & Saturdays. And if i get both I'm gonna be leaving this pub im at now and that will be a sad day.
