the dt is not too bad on the track for getting used to tight technical tracks but tbh im not gonna bother taking mine again coz its jus too under powered, and my suspension setup is crap, my forks are pissing out oil ,n rear shock has preload up to the max ,also pv pinned open which is no good for enduro, you need more bottom end torque, would prob handle better if i sorted them out but, im selling my car and another dt to buy a 450 exc, i had a blast on one on sunday, done one lap on it (7.2 miles) n it was amazing, then done another lap on my dads exc 250f n i felt like i was david knight, i amazed my self at how fast i was goin, on the dt im really slowing down for the corners and struggling to get out of them, the dt was sooo much hard work to get round where as the ktm's wer awesome flat out every where, hardly touched the brakes, jus shut the throttle coming up to the corners and as soon as ur on the corner jus open it up n ur power sliding out of them at serious speed, dodging trees wer no problem as it jus went where ever you pointed it, hardly change gear either jus stayed in second most of the time untill the open straights, and it gripped like i was on rails, it gave me so much more confidence, it was so nice to ride i cant even explain it, so wen i get my ktm im gonna sm my dt and use it for commuting ect and the 450 beef for green lane and enduros, once iv got it im gonna start competing alot more seriously than i have on the dt, before wen i entered races on the dt i was between 1/3-1/2 up the table on the results but i reckon on the ktm ill be right up there in the top 15 out of about 150 ppl

if i wer you m8 id jus go for it you gotta start somwer urll get the feel for tricky enduro stylee, make sure you got all the gear tho coz i garantee you will come off, weather it be ur mistake or someone elses, last sunday i came off near the start coz some dude stopped at a top of a steep off camber hill n i had no wer to go but stack it back down lol wasnt too pleased as i bent my bars slightly : /

this is the one of the beasts i had a go on.. my dads 250f

Basicly i do alot of greenlaning & byway lanes what have alot of mud hills/rocks & jumps, the bike takes it pretty damn well! the fork seals don't leak or anything but would it be able to take on a proper enduro track with jumps & hill climbs as i live next to hawkstone park & there's another enduro track i wanna try out, All answers would be thankfully accepted  :)

this is what my mate keeps saying about 2t the power is just to much on them. The 4t has loads of lowend and it holds the power all the way through the gear so your not waiting for the band to kick in and give you problems.

for 125cc road bike a 2t is best as it quicker then any 4t 125cc on the road..
but drz,crf or ktm would be a good choice. thats not forget the nice TTR as well..

The DRZ is well underpowered!!!

The power delievery is fine in 2 strokes. Your not an idiot you know where the power is on a 2 stroke so stop pretending it's no good :\ At the end of the day admit it, it is easier riding the 4 stroke as you don't have to worry so much about your RPM. In competing I'd agree with you I'd want a 4 stroke. But I've never competed and I'm not very good at riding.

2 Stroke all the way!
