exhaust studs

will standard studs be ok on fittin the DEP as my studs come out the barrel but the nuts wont come off the studs , so wot im askin is will i get the exhaust to tighten up usin my existin studs wiv stuck nuts  ??

Your studs come out the barrel? Whoops!

 

You might want to retap that mate and use the next size up. I find that if you put two bolts on and reverse the thread on one of them then you can really tighten up the stud to the engine.

yeah they did as nuts had seized on but did tighten back up wiv no leaks so am hopin itll be ok !

next time you have the pipe off put 2 nuts on the stud and lock em together then put some lock tite on the stud and wind it in tight then after re fitting the pipe next time only the nut should come off

they work loose over the years with all the heating and cooling, pays to give them a good nip with the above method every now and againsmile
