why do people do it =[

 

my mate bought a 3 grand wr125 i told him to buy something cheap as his first bike. 

 

he crashed it on the way home from buying it and broke a pannle and front master cylender.

 

he crashed it the second time on it when he went green laneing with my mate i refused to take him for a reasone.

 

1 week later the poor bike is now written off and he is in hospital.

How the hell did he get through his CBT? confuse
Maybe it's just up north where people get some sort of BASIC TRAINING on their CBT...
But then again I could ride before my CBT evileye

Shame it had to happen but I very doubt he was following the highway code to the T.

lol, idiot. See i would assume he ended up in hospital from an accident but considering he crashed it everytime he rode then it's his own fault. I have a mate who bought a chinese bike brand new he's crashed it a few times.

Some people shouldn't be bikers mate, had my bike 6 months and had a couple of close calls sure but i don't ride beyond my limit.

Are there any parts i could use for my DT? lol

the wr has brakes like planks of wood. to be fair i almsot smashed mine up on the way home into the back of my mums car as the bike wouldnt stop.

their gutless, slow bikes just like all 4 stroke 125s and the brakes where appauling

ow ow and i forgot him and my mate on a dt went to the coast and on the way back he road into the back of the dt and broke rear footpeg hanger off lol cos he couldn't stop

Some people aren't meant to ride bikes OR THOSE BRAKES ARE ****!!! I should be dead cause the brakes on my bike are SHOCKING!!! Can anyone tell me! Does the Supermotard conversion (With dual Pot front discs) improve the stopping of the DT's cause my bike is SH,IT on brakes.

I bet non of you have rode a 30-35 year old bike with drums on the front and rear!
To top it all off I had no right footpeg and the front brake barely worked!
I was still hitting 40 up home on the roads with no headlight, was hilarious as all the cars were flashing me to put my lights on lol

gin i had a ts50 lol had drums that dident work i put a bore on it if i was doing 45 the only way to slow down in a hurry was to dump it into first lol

You've got a problem with your brakes then
My DR400 front brake was horrible, I could hold the lever to the bars and I'd slow down quicker dragging my feet and my rear was either on or off, with nothing inbetween lol
I scared myself wee too much haha

It's hard to say right!

 

On my brothers RS you just tap the rear brake and the bike lurches forward! On my DT just a little too much pressure will cause the rear wheel to lock up.

 

I either need help learning how to stop correctly (I.e. I'm too scared to jam the front brake incase the same happens) or the rear brake is defective and needs replacing.

 

I've replaced the fluid in the system. Pads are fine and I don't think they are contaminiated. I've had the bike for about 2 years and they've always been this way.

 

Occasionally I get a little squeaking from the brakes. Front or rear (Or even my brakes) I don't know?

 +1 on the front and rear drums, my old 82" cg125 had em, they wernt too bad as long as they wer kept clean and lubed up the moving parts, i often used to re surface the shoes and drums to keep them working good wink

lol the closest i've come to crashing is misjudging my speed round a corner and fixating on the curb, managed to stop in time but scraped along the side of it. Keeping my bike upright like a BOSS lol.

Not bad considering 3k miles over 5 months pretty much everyday use :)
